Welcome to Northern Woolies!

Northern Woolies, at 24 Miles Street, is Greenfield's own charming LYS (local yarn shop).

We offer a wide variety of natural and man-made fibers in a beautiful light filled setting. New yarns come in each month  from such well-known companies as Berroco, Brown Sheep, Classic Elite, Euro Yarns, Jo Sharp, Noro, Reynolds, Russi, and more and we pride ourselves on promoting smaller local companies, such as Green Mountain Spinnery.  We are also lucky enough to be able to stock hand-spun and hand-painted fibers created by the many talented, regional spinners and fiber artists. A changing assortment of trunk shows, books, baskets, patterns, and knitting supplies keeps the shop exciting and fun.

Like most LYSs, service is our strength.  Northern Woolies customers are not afraid to ask for help choosing projects and supplies and our knowledgeable staff is ready to bail you out of whatever knitting problems you might run into. We also offer a variety of fun knitting, crocheting and spinning classes, and other events.
